Please read the class guide on Condition in order to have some information.
Condition damage builds are not suitable for some bosses. Why is this the case?
If the boss has a percentage buff (e.g. and )
If the boss has only very short damage phases and also phases appear where no conditions can be added (e.g. and )
The reason for this is that condition damage builds take time to reach a certain damage potential. Lastly, the Condition , like most other condition damage builds, has bad area damage. This can sometimes become a problem.
As you already know, the Condition mainly causes , and .
The high damage depends very much on how well you can hit the boss from behind. &BrYwAAA= and &BtswAAA= do little damage if you don’t flank.
So it is important to hit the bosses from behind with the short bow. On the dagger set this is not very important. With this premise, some bosses will automatically be excluded, since flanking them is very difficult.
It is also important to know how Guildwars 2 defines flanking:
Imagine the boss as a circle, the hitbox. Most bosses also have a small arrow that marks the exact direction of view. From this arrow, 45 degrees to the left and right is exactly the “red zone” in which you are not flanking.
For mathematicians: You flank exactly when you hit the closed interval from -pi/4 to pi/4 in the open infterval 2pi one. The direction of view of the boss (the orange arrow) defines exactly 0 degrees.
Nickname
is based on the fact that you replace your normal abilities with spirits.
The is the only real DPS class that has the ability to bring spirits. Spirits rank very high in raids and PvE in general. These are 10-man buffs that massively increase your party damage.
Since you can’t afford the specialization “Nature Magic”, you lack the boons of the Spirits, unlike the . Therefore it is not worthwhile to take the &Bs8wAAA= with you.
Of course you can support your by taking one of the required spirits with you so that they can take another important skill with them.
Or several spirits at once. It depends on your needs.
Since the penultimate balance update, spirits no longer stand for 60 seconds and then die, but periodically lose life and can be healed. They are also hit by some boss attacks.
So try to keep the spirits close to you and your healer and push them there to keep them alive as long as possible. You can also try to kill the ghosts in a targeted way to have them in the important moments.
As a Condition Damage you will also benefit from &BjAxAAA=, the active skill of the &BtIwAAA=. You can use these in the rotation, but you should give them minimum priority.
Main damage by on &BuKtAAA= and &BoyeAAA=
Main damage by on &Bq+cAAA=, &BoyeAAA= and also by on &BmCtAAA=
Main damage caused by on &BqexAAA=, &BvagAAA= and &BoyeAAA=
Main damage by on &Br6hAAA= and &BoyeAAA=, strong CC on &BmC1AAA=
wins every race in an isolated scenario, such as the golem. So this one has a very high single target damage.
The strength of the is the &BqexAAA=. Since &BqexAAA= has the skill “piercing”, you can aim at up to 3 targets. So if you execute this skill in the hitbox of a boss and there are other targets within a 600 radius around you, all projectiles hit the boss (the 3 that would go to the boss anyway + 3 that would go to an external target A + 3 that would go to an external target B -> a total of 9 projectiles). So you can imagine that in this sum the damage of the bristle back is superior to the .
But the defeats both, on bosses where the state ignites very often, i.e. it attacks very high frequency (e.g. ) or its damage aura (e.g. ) is ticking.
The always loses against the other three pets, but in exchange it brings a large CC attack. So the is especially profitable in groups where CC is a problem.
For each boss the cheapest pet is named – optionally, the can always be chosen for more CC.
The &B1AIAAA= trait is taken in the power damage build and the condition damage build instead of the &B18IAAA= property.
Before starting the fight, make sure you are in &BsCnAAA= with the selected pet, and then precast &BvkwAAA=, &BhCqAAA= and &BtswAAA= to take full advantage of the pet effect. You can take this effect a bit further by first merging the precast with the and then switching back to the actual pet.
Weapon and usage skills are at the top of the priority list, the &BsCnAAA= skills like &BoyeAAA= serve as a filler.
&Biu0AAA= can be very helpful with mechanics and help to cover or avoid distance.
Here you play with
Small change in the traits: you choose &ByUIAAA= instead of &B3EIAAA= for more -> otherwise everything is default.
In the split phase you usually go to the Red Guardian
Precast your &BvkwAAA= and &BqexAAA= before the fight and while waiting after the split phases
Do not use &BrwwAAA= at the beginning, but after you have placed the first &BtgwAAA=. &BrwwAAA= triggers the buff &B08IAAA=, so if you delay the trap a bit, you’ll match the buff to your main damage period.
Hold &BvagAAA= until the seekers are close around the vale guard, min. 600 radius and use the ability in the hitbox. (You can read the why again at “Reasonable Pet Choices”)
The fight is much more pleasant and clean if you try to delay to your &Br4wAAA= and avoid the blue port fields. The threshold for delaying is 1-2 seconds.
Use &BsowAAA= as CC for your guard during the split phases.
Do not waste your &BtgwAAA= in the split, but use &BhCqAAA=. Otherwise it will not be ready for battle, as you will not have in the split all the time
Do not use &BqexAAA= and &BvkwAAA= in the split
If you are not in the Druid’s group and playing with &AgFtHAEA, you should time your &Bqp8AAA= to heal up directly against the green.
Also use &Bqp8AAA= at the beginning of the split phases to extend your boons, but watch out if another green square explodes.
Often it is advisable not to start with &BpWyAAA= but to do 1-2 skills first so that you hit exactly the burst of the Power-DPS classes. So you can for example use an additional &BsowAAA= in the opener.
Use &Biu0AAA= in the split phase to trigger &ByUIAAA= again.
Here you play with
The boss is a pure DPS Golem, so use what you have trained on the Golem.
Here you play with
Only recommended in extremely slow groups
Here you play with (For more CC you can take with you)
Targets for which &BvagAAA= are: ice shards, tornadoes, poisonous clouds, sacrifices and the ghosts after 40%. You always have a large number of combinations, so you can use the ability close to Cooldown. However, make sure that the external targets are also within range.
Use &Biu0AAA= to handle mechanics better
You should delay your rotation a little at the beginning, for example &BsAwAAA=, &Br0wAAA=, &BsowAAA=, &Br4wAAA= and then to match the burst with the dome and boon uptime.
If you’re really “just” interested in the kill, don’t be afraid to choose the .
and are similarly good, it depends on the speed of the group.
Hold your &BvagAAA= until the mobs spawn or you are close to the bloodstone shards.
If your party is having difficulty shard-clearing, you can also switch to the dagger-shortbow build.
Axe dagger with iboga build should be played.
Instead of &BtAwAAA= you will play with &BrwwAAA=.
Play the .
Well…just do your golem rotation.
Here you should play .
If you don’t play Melee tactic and play Ranged instead: You have to use the short bow short bow setup
Take axe and dagger with the Iboga build.
Use your static skills (&BtgwAAA=, &BtAwAAA=, &Bq+cAAA=) with care, the combat can become very dynamic depending on the walls. You should therefore avoid that the boss runs out of your fields immediately.
Try to avoid many attacks with &Br4wAAA= ]
You take here.
Use &BpSvAAA= to increase the conditions of you and your subgroup
You should be on the axe set during the soul split, so that you can still attack while he tries to pull you in. When the soul split starts, you can also leave the &BsCnAAA= and use the active ability of the and then go straight back to the &BsCnAAA=.
Here you play axe and dagger with
You must play smart, use your AoE attacks wisely so the boss doesn’t run out of them right away.
The damage on this boss is strong, so always bend your &BrwwAAA= in combination with &Bq+cAAA=.
Use your &BpSvAAA= when Nikare starts jumping around or on Kenut when fighting near the tornadoes (i.e. on cool down).
Here you play with
Note:
The condition damage is not suitable for doing the lamp or kiting (killing the fire elements)
You can basically do your golem rotation here, the only thing that matters is that you make sure you flank the boss.
