Daredevil Staff-Class Guide

The is a very mobile and beginner-friendly class. It offers high direct damage with many CC possibilities.
Because of the stolen skills it is especially popular with bosses like or , where you support the group with damage, CC and boons.

In this guide, I will both discuss ways to do more damage and explain how you can support your group in the best way.

General


The is the only class that has initiative. All weapon abilities except the 1 cost initiative, but have no recovery time. For this reason there are no really difficult rotations for the . Since you don’t have to pay attention to the cooldown for the weapon skills, there are no really difficult rotations for the . The weapon skill 3 is, unlike other classes, always derived from the main and secondary weapon.

The generally still has invisibility attacks. That means, the weapon ability 1 changes depending on whether you are invisible or not.
That means every weapon has its own invisibility attack, the only invisibility attack on the that is relevant for this build is the staff. With it you have access to 200 extra CC using &BuMyAAA=, which gives you and changes your weapon ability to &BgJ2AAA=.

Survival – with what am I dodging?

Due to the &B2UHAAA= trait, the is forced to keep its endurance as low as possible. This can cause a problem if you try to avoid an attack. It is best to know in advance when to dodge in order to save your endurance for that moment. However, this is not always possible. In order to survive anyway, here are several ways to deal with this situation:

  • The &BsB2AAA= healing skill of the gives 25 endurance per pulse. In total, this skill gives 75 endurance and thus 1.5 endurance bars. You can also cancel this skill early to give you less endurance and dodge earlier.
  • The second way to regain endurance is to activate the &BgYzAAA=. In addition, this signet also removes 3 conditions from yourself and up to 4 allies within a 360 radius, so you will gain endurance  instantly and be able to dodge faster than &BsB2AAA=.

Stolen skills – What can you steal?


If you are or , you can steal one of 4 different abilities from certain bosses. The listed enemies will always give you the same ability, unlike normal enemies. Knowledge of all abilities is important to maximize damage and to support your squad.


Draws up to 10 enemies to the selected position three times at 1 second intervals, dealing damage. Since this ability does a lot of damage to the , as well as high power damage, you need to weigh the benefits. In most cases, you should prioritize power damage and combine it with as many damage modifiers as possible, such as &BvYyAAA=. The skill does about 60-70k damage with each bomb.

Distributes all blessings to up to 10 allies in range except . The blessings have the following duration:

Removes all conditions from all allies in range, distributing one stack for each condition to the affected ally. Each stack will do additional damage on the next attack, which is credited to the . Without removing conditions, this ability causes about 1.5% additional damage to the .

This ability can have one of two effects.
1. if there is a downed ally in the target area of , that ally will teleport to you and be healed by 15%. If there is no wounded ally in the target area, the will teleport to the selected location, dealing 30k damage. Due to the fast cast time, you can also use this skill for damage at the end of your &BvYyAAA= burst.

Damage – What is the maximum damage I can do?


The maximum damage modifier is obtained by &B2UHAAA=. As long as your endurance is not full, you will get 5% additional damage for each incomplete endurance bar. In addition, after each you will receive an additional 10% damage modifier for 4 seconds through &B/8HAAA=.
The second largest damage modifier is available as long as your health is above 90% of your maximum health. Not only will you receive a 5% damage increase from the &AgEEYQAA, like almost all direct damage classes, but you will also gain damage from the &BwEFAAA= and &B/QEAAA= traits.
Another 7% critical strike chance is also given by &B/QEAAA= if you are flanking the enemy, meaning attacking the boss from behind or from the side.
Once the enemy falls below 50% of their life, the will do 20% more damage when you play with &B/UEAAA=. However, the &BwIFAAA= skill also does 10% more damage when the opponent has over 50% health.
An additional 120 power can be gained by using the &B6gGAAA= skill when revealed. This buff is especially useful if you’re doing damage from stealth or if you’ve got fixated by a boss.
The potentially greatest damage modifier depends on the number of unique conditions on the boss. For each condition, you will receive 2% more damage from &B+kEAAA=. Since the number of states the can cause is limited, the amount of damage modifier depends on the class lineup of the squad.

Optional Skills and Traits


The staff- can support the group in many places by simply taking another useful skill with them via &BpR4AAA=. You can find a small selection here:

  • &BgkzAAA= is a skill which is very good for destroying enemy projectiles. It is also a smoke field and can be used in conjunction with explosion and jump finishers to make your group or yourself invisible.
  • &Bj0zAAA= is used to make your party invisible. It is probably worth mentioning here, because it is not in the skill description, that allies in the downstate are resurrected by 5% with every pulse.
  • &Bu4yAAA= can be used to create a portal that can teleport 5 people to a predetermined location (caution: can only be used in one direction).
  • &BkwzAAA= This elite is suitable for bosses that have a very large .
  • &BkxzAAA= This elite should be used if the &BkwzAAA= hits small adds, i.e. not all 5 stacks hit the target. Examples would be or .
  • &BiUzAAA= This poison is useful if you need to distribute , for example .
  • &BhJVAAA= can be used if you need more group heal.

Also, the properties of the staff can be adjusted in many places so that you can carry your squad through the mechanics of each boss:

  • &B48EAAA= is a very useful and reasonable feature. There are many bosses where this trait helps your squad or even increases your damage.
  • &B6YGAAA= should be taken with you if you need a lot of healing, such as the solo kite of .
  • &B+cHAAA= You should play this trait if you are playing on a boss that occasionally gives you conditions, for example .

    To avoid being teleported away by the blue fields, you need to be especially careful with the , as you cannot stop the animation of &Btd0AAA= to avoid it.
    Try timing your to avoid the explosion of the blue fields and then continue your DPS rotation. If that doesn’t work you can also use &BoV3AAA= instead of &Btd0AAA= to be able to blue fields.

    Do not interrupt your DPS rotation at the blue and green .

    Be especially careful not to jump into the Seekers during mid-strategy, so you can endure the damage from the green field.

    Weapon Selection & Skills


    If you don’t need to kite or enter the lamp, you should play with &BkwzAAA=, as you will need a lot of damage on the Hydra, the Destroyer and possibly the Patriarch. Of course, if you’re kiting or in the lamp and the of Qadim is usually skipped by damage, you should play with &BhozAAA=.

    Once inside the lamp, you should check who does the when and play with short bow to get through the lamp faster.

    If you are able to play a second staff, you can either replace &AgEkYQAA with &AgEqYAAA if is tanked in the second phase, that you can’t flank or you play &AgFVYAAA or &AgFOYAAA on the second staff to do more damage to the destroyer or the pyre.
