About us
- Lucky Noobs is a well-known hardcore PvE guild in Guild Wars 2 with focus on raids.
Our goal is to always get the fastest possible run you can get with the current meta. Because of this, we spend a lot of time creating spreadsheets, doing theory crafts and testing new possible team compositions for new records or good kill times.
LN is not a guild you should join for your full clear or just to raid with us once every 2 weeks.
You need the right dedication and the will to improve because it is always our top priority that we are constantly improving our gameplay!

Some General Information about the guild Lucky Noobs
LN is raiding 3 times a week depending on work or uni schedules.
In general, we raid 3 hours per raid day from 20:00 to 23:00. On our raid days, we either grind one or two bosses for the entire raid time to get a good kill/time,
or we just practice some Wings to improve our overall performance in all Wings.
Everyone has to be on Discord and should be able to talk and communicate in English with each other. We do not mute ourselves and only listen to important calls during a raid.
We trashtalk a lot during raids and are having fun, while still be 100 % focused on the boss or your rotation.
Also, everyone has to pay a tiny amount of gold per month, so we can craft ascended food for every role in each encounter we face. You never have to use your own food!

What can the guild offer you?
➤ At least 3 raids per week (Monday, thursday, saturday or sunday) + additional raids if people are interested in doing them or a specific grind in on the schedule (Raid league, tourney practice, record attemps). Certainly, you don’t have to join all of those raids in a week.
➤ Experienced and active members with very good knowledge about dungeons, fractals and raids.
➤ Helpful members that will always try to help you when you have questions about your class, your rotation or a specific boss tactic.
➤ Members who are highly interested in raid records.
➤ Humour and fun in the game, especially in the discord.
➤ Social interaction and the willingness to ignore your own ego for a good kill.
➤ Detailed spreadsheets for each boss with every information you need to know for a speedrun.

What makes LN so special?
The Lucky Noobs were founded in 2005 in Guild Wars 1 and are still active in Guild Wars 2. This makes LN to oldest still active hardcore guild in Guild Wars by far. None other guild had such an impressive past as LN had in Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2.
During that time the guild went through ups and downs but always stayed alive and active!
Every member in LN tries to help each other out whenever they can and are always there for you if you need help.
The guild is more like a big family that always stands together no matter what is happening. We are all spending a lot of time together while playing Guild Wars 2, some other games or just chilling around in discord.
Having fun and not taking things too seriously is very important for us, because why would anyone want to be in a guild where they do not have fun.

Pre-Trial and Trial Period
You want to apply for Lucky Noobs and want to know what is happening after you sent your application? Once you applied for Lucky Noobs through our Application Form, we will get an Email with your application. After checking your application we will contact you via discord and trying to solve all questions you still have about LN. If everything fits we can start your trial!
What exactly is a Pre-Trial?
- First things first: We want you to succeed. We do not ask trick questions and will not try to make you fail in any way.
- Before we can start your trial you have to fill in the application form (luckynoobs.typeform.com/to/JTYken).
- After we got your application we will invite you to a short interview to present you the Guild and so we to get to know each other.
- The next step is the joint raid. During the raid you get the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the guild and we get the chance to evaluate your ingame performance. We want to see as many of your raid classes as possible, so we choose our wings and bosses depending on the classes you applied on. We will let you know beforehand which bosses and wings we are going to do and which classes and mechanics we want to see from you. You can expect bosses typical for your classes (e.g.: Daredevil on Samarog; Renegade on Matthias etc.)
- We pay attention to these three aspects in order: mechanics, communication and dps! It is important to us, that you are able to deal with mechanics correctly, pass on important information, ask about anything that is unclear to you and pull solid dps. We know that most of you are quite nervous during the trial and we take that into account.
Trial Period
- If you passed your Pre-Trial you will get invited to our guild Lucky Noobs, and get access to our sheets and discord channels. From this point on your Trial Period starts.
- The Trial Period is around 2 to 6 Weeks depending on how frequently we raid together. During this time you are a part of the guild and can participate in all of its activities. We want to get to know you and see if you get comfortable in this environment. Furthermore, we want to see getting better and improving yourself.
- There won’t be an endtrial. All members are going to vote on whether you fit into the guild or not. Two aspects are very important here: Gameplay and personality!
